SOFTBALL
The JV softball girls played Memorial last night. Lead off batter Sarah Vesel got us started with a single allowing us to score 2 runs in the first inning. Memorial quickly answered back with 7 runs. Amy Arenas hit a shot over the center fielders head helping us to score 4 more runs. With time running short the umpire called the game; final score 6-7.
The Varsity Softball Team defeated Memorial last night 2-1. Taylor Hemenway scored the winning run in the 6th inning on a hit by Jessi Ortiz.
GOLF
Please congratulate the varsity boys golf team as they brought home 2nd place in the Cy-Fair Invitational Tournament held at Longwood Golf Club on Wednesday, March 4th. The Rams were led by Anthony Syrko with a 79. Other scores were Zachary Weik with an 80, Ryan Roseberry with an 82, Zachary Jackson with an 83 and Nick Pierce with an 86. Also playing as a medalist Wednesday was David Fuentes, who shot an 84. The boys stepped up their effort yesterday and (for the most part) avoided the big numbers that hurt a score. The next tournament for this group will be on March 30th at our tournament at Pine Forest.
