The Mayde Creek boys and girls cross country teams started their season this past Saturday with the Katy ISD Invitational. The boys and girls varsity teams both finished 3rd as a team.
In the boys race, senior Sarang Joshi was the top individual finisher in 11th place, followed by sophomore Fidel Leon in 12th, senior Nick Dalheim in 13th and senior Alex Cui in 16th.
In the girls race, senior Isabel Balbontin placed 5th, Ashleigh Fuelling was 9th and Jennifer Molina was 10th. Freshman Tiffany Messenger won the girls JV race. It was a good start to the season!
The cross country team runs again this Friday in the Woodlands for "Friday Night Lights."
