Tuesday, April. 13

Baseball:              MCHS vs Morton Ranch @ MCHS - Varsity - 7:00 pm.

Softball:               MCHS vs Taylor @ MCHS - JV/Varsity - 4:30/6:15 pm. (Senior Night)

Wednesday, April 14

Track:                JV & Varsity District Championships @ Seven Lakes

Thursday, April 15 

Softball:       MCHS vs Cinco Ranch @ Cinco - JV/Varsity - 4:30/6:15 pm

Friday, April 16 

Baseball:       MCHS vs Seven Lakes @ Seven Lakes - JV White/JV Green - 4:00/6:30 pm.

                     Varsity plays @ MCHS - 7:00 pm.   

Saturday, April 17

Baseball:        MCHS vs Taylor @ MCHS - JV White/JV Green - 11:00/2:00

                       MCHS vs Taylor @ Taylor - Varsity - 2:00 pm.

Updates from the Coaches:

Baseball:

Varsity Team is 5-4 in district play.  They have seen some great pitching from Justin Suntych, Michael Blevins, Patrick Hoag and Benny Suarez.  Games lost have been close and exciting games.  JV Green is seeing some good hitting by Stefan Capps, Zach High and Shawn Taitano. JV White has had some good pitching from Dillon Popp and Derek May.

Golf:

Please join me in congratulating Jenny Kang and Ryan Roseberry for advancing to the regional golf tournament at Mont Belvieu.  At the district tournament Tuesday and Wednesday, Jenny shot 81-74 to finish in 2^nd place on the girls side and Ryan shot 77-75 to finish 3^rd on the boys side.  This will be Jenny’s third consecutive appearance at the regional golf tournament, while Ryan is making his first – and first for a Mayde Creek Ram boy in over a decade.

The boys team did not play as well on the first day as they had hoped to going into the tournament, putting them in a hole they could not overcome on day two.  We will have a very strong team next year, with 7 senior boys leading the team.  If we continue to improve, we should be a favorite to win the district title next year.

Softball:

Girls are playing hard but have been coming up short of the win.  Currently Varsity is in last place but with injuries in the district, it's still anyone's game.

Track:

17-5A District Championship Meet will be held at Seven Lakes on Wednesday, April 14th for Boys and Girls JV and Varsity Teams. Top 3 in any event will advance to Regionals to be held in 2 weeks.  GO Rams!
